Investing in Alaska’s Future

Building the Alaska we need.

Coast Guard Investment

Coast Guard & Arctic Security

$4.3 billion in new funding for Coast Guard icebreakers is already changing what's possible for Alaska's coast. The USCGC Storis, the first icebreaker ever homeported in Alaska, was commissioned in Juneau in August 2025. Three more Arctic Security Cutters are headed to Kodiak, Seward, and Juneau, putting real assets closest to the Arctic mission for the first time.

Health investment

Rural Healthcare & Alaska Native Communities

Begich helped deliver historic numbers for rural healthcare. The $50 billion Rural Health Transformation Fund, the largest rural health investment in U.S. history, is bringing new health care access to rural Alaska. He engaged directly on the issue, including at a White House roundtable in January 2026. Combined with land entitlements finalized for Cape Fox Corporation and Southcentral Foundation, and protections for Alaska Native settlement trust payments, this is real investment in the communities that need it most.

Secure Rural Schools Funding

The U.S. Forest Service's 2025 Secure Rural Schools payments delivered $11,767,586 to communities across Alaska - a direct result of the Secure Rural Schools Reauthorization Act Begich supported.

Constituent Services

Since taking office in January 2025, Begich's office has returned more than $2.5 million in federal casework funds and benefits directly to individual Alaskans.
